Our Council of Churches has declared 2006-2007 to be a year of focus on environmental issues, environmental justice and "go green" (or "grow green") action. Based on Biblical principles of the sacredness of creation and our responsibility to be faithful in the stewardship and care of the earth, we will have several events encouraing individuals and churches to become "Green Christians". The first event is the free showing in multiple locations of the movie "An Inconvenient Truth".

There are many things you can do to become a Green Christian at home, at your church and at your place of business. Putting It Simply:
1) Think: Reduce, Reuse & Recycle every chance you get.
2) Make it a priority to reduce your transportation fuel by carpooling, combining errands, taking public transit,
and purchasing the most fuel-efficient car you can find.
